AUD/USD, AUD/NZD Flows: RBA Cash rate to remain steady for some time;AUD steady too (KFYC7001)

RBA April 1 minutes : Cash Rate to remain steady for some time given economic outlook. Most prudent cash likely period of steady rates.

AUD still high by historical standards, less supportive of the economy given latest surge. Further promising signs low rates working its way through the economy. Jobless rate still expected to edge higher for a time. China data pointed to continued slowdown, though Lunar New year holiday complicated assessment.

On FX, AUD steady at 0.9395-10 after "steady RBA" minutes. Focus on RBA Guy Debelle comments later - for more "current" comments. AUD/USD at 0.9420-50, given that AUD already dipped ahead of the RBA minutes. Bids at 0.9380-90. AUD/NZD at 1.0835-40, eye downside as RBNZ will hike and RBA will remain steady for some time.
