DAX Exchange rate

The DAX (Deutscher Aktienindex) is a German stock index consisting of the 30 major German companies trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Some of the companies listed on the DAX 30 are BMW, Siemens, Adidas and Deutsche Bank. It is a capitalization-weighted index, meaning that the stocks are weighted according to the market value of all the outstanding shares. Often compared to the Dow Jones Industrial Average (or DJIA, the index of 30 large publicly owned companies based in the United States), the DAX is the most quoted index representing the German economy
