Looking for irony? I have some.

EC president Donald Tusk slammed German chancellor Angela Merkel in a tweet. Guess who tweeted in defense of Merkel.

Alexis Tsipras, prime minister of Greece.

Meanwhile Hungary pokes another well deserved finger into Merkel’s eye by declaring a state of emergency by sending troops to the border to shut the border down totally.

EC President’s Tweet

In what has to be the biggest disguised slam ever against German Chancellor Angela Merkel by a top Eurozone official, EC president Donald Tusk tweeted “I thank Western Balkan countries for implementing part of EU’s comprehensive strategy to deal with migration crisis.”

Greece Defends Merkel

Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras responded to Tusk with his Tweet “The Western Balkans route has come to an end due to unilateral actions by certain countries. EU has no future if it goes on like that.”

Unilateral Actions

The Balkin states have had enough of Merkel and Greece. They began work on a “Fortress Europe” 250 mile fence along Europe’s eastern frontier in a desperate bid to hold back the migrant influx.

Hungary joined forces with Austria and nine Balkan countries with another “unilateral” action today.

NBC reports Hungary Declares State of Emergency Over Migrants.

Hungary declared a state of emergency and said troops would be deployed to reinforce its borders following the closure of a key migration route. Closing the route has left around 14,000 desperate people stranded along the Greek border with Macedonia amid rapidly-deteriorating conditions.

Unilateral Actions

Please refresh my memory. I just cannot remember: Who was it that unilaterally welcomed refugees with open arms?

Do Ten Countries Telling Merkel to “Go to Hell” constitute unilateral action, or does Merkel’s Pact With the Devil, suffice?
