Bitcoin extends gains above $80,000 as broader market risk-on sentiment persists. The scarce asset could extend its rally as the US Treasury combats high yields in the long-dated bond market, with further interventions on the horizon. Aerodrome Finance and Virtuals Protocol emerged as top performers over the last 24 hours.
Ripple and Stellar are showing signs of renewed strength after rallying over 53% and 27% in the previous week. Meanwhile, both altcoins are approaching key technical levels on Tuesday that could determine their next move. However, mixed on-chain signals with a slight bearish tilt suggest traders remain cautious amid the recent price gains.
Ethereum treasury company BitMine Immersion Technologies expanded its digital asset holdings last week with another round of acquisitions. The firm purchased 32,447 ETH during the week, lifting its holdings to 5.847 million ETH. That represents its largest purchase since the first week of July.
