White House: $16 billion worth of additional tariffs on China to go into effect at midnight

According to CNBC, the U.S. Treasury's David Malpass, undersecretary for International Affairs, will be meeting Chinese officials later today as planned but they have no plans to make any last-minute changes on the $16 billion worth of tariffs on Chinese imports that is scheduled to go into effect at midnight.
