Tron (TRX) unveils $1 million accelerator for blockchain innovation

  • Tron protocol daily transactions hit 1 million while active wallets are at 600,000.

The self-proclaim decentralized network, Tron is fighting for a position among the big boys in the industry (top ten digital assets). The crypto project achieved several milestones this year including but not limited to the launch of the mainnet, the Super Representative election and the launch of Tron Virtual Machine (TVM).

Consequently, according to a press release sent to media houses on Friday 16, Tron is ready to launch what it is calling a blockchain innovation program tomorrow, November 17. The company has in the recent months shown its support for the blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps.

The soon to be unveiled $1 million USD accelerator is aimed at fostering innovation in the industry. The initial phase of the program will be in support of developers as well startups dealing with dApps using Tron blockchain. The Tron protocol has been a buzz of activities in the recent views with transactions hitting more than 1 million. Moreover, the network boasts of having more than 600,000 active wallets. A section of the press release states:

“TRON Accelerator is a 1,000,000 USD online competition rewarding up to 56 winning DApp projects across multiple categories. First prize features a 200,000 USD reward. Prizes are product based. Teams can submit multiple products and potentially win multiple prizes.”

Developers in the community and the industry are requested to submit their projects between December 1, 2018 and the midnight of January 4, 2019. They will enter a content where judges will carry out a review of the submitted projects. Subsequently, the winners of the contents will be announced during the very first Tron international summit to held in San Francisco.

Tron (TRX) is trading at $0.0188 at the time of press. It is slightly in the green but the bears are still clamping down against the buyers. Tron is the 11th crypto by market capitalization ($1.2 billion) and a 24-hour trading volume of $78 million.
