Token sales are a highly competitive arena in which projects seek to attract capital from retail investors chasing early exposure to the next big thing. While November has been quieter than previous months, there are a couple of projects that have been vying for mindshare and capital especially lately – and each has made significant strides in doing so.
The two heavyweight contenders vying for investor attention are BlockchainFX ($BFX), the self-styled “trading super app,” and EV2 (Earth Version 2), the AAA sci-fi shooter from Funtico. Early in the month, $BFX appeared to have the upper hand, attracting significant demand from retail investors looking to put their crypto assets to work. However, as the month’s progressed, data suggests a rotation is underway, with capital now moving into the gamer-first economy promised by EV2.
Read on to discover why the BlockchainFX hype train is stalling, how EV2 is capturing the smart money, and why this sector rotation signals a broader trend for the crypto market heading into 2026.
Super App BFX Pauses for Breath
On paper, BlockchainFX has an undeniable allure. The project promises the holy grail of trading: a single decentralized interface for crypto, forex, commodities, and stocks. The team recently secured a license from the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority (AOFA), a move intended to validate their ambitious revenue-sharing model where stakers earn a slice of platform fees.
The initial euphoria surrounding the project enabled it to attract significant investment in its first few days, partly on account of the project’s caliber, but also because November has had less presale opportunities than were on offer in September and October especially. That said, the challenges that BlockchainFX must overcome to deliver on its ambitious roadmap are significant. The technical and regulatory hurdles of bridging traditional finance (TradFi) rails with onchain execution are immense.
On paper, the BlockchainFX team looks both credible and capable. That said, all-in-one crypto trading apps aren’t exactly in short supply, and thus the greatest obstacle the project may face is in convincing investors that it’s the clear winner in a highly crowded sector.
A Wild EV2 Appears
Meanwhile, over in the Web3 gaming sector, EV2 is winning investors over with something rare in the presale space: a tangible, playable reality. Developed by the industry veterans at Funtico, Earth Version 2 is a polished AAA shooter that has already dazzled audiences at GameRadar’s Future Game Show. The project is capitalizing on the “product-first” thesis. Investors can see the graphics, understand the gameplay loop, and clearly visualize where the token fits in.
The $EV2 token is the engine of a deep in-game economy. It powers the crafting of modular weapons, the upgrading of combat suits, and the entry fees for high-stakes competitive mode “Fracture.” This clear, immediate utility is acting as a magnet for capital fading the uncertainty of more complex infrastructure plays.
Another factor driving the shift to EV2 is its aggressive approach to mainstream adoption. While BlockchainFX is targeting a niche of sophisticated traders, EV2 is building a funnel for the world’s 3 billion gamers. That’s not to say they’ll all be queuing up to put Earth Version 2 through its paces, of course, but if even a fraction of them take the plunge, it’ll have done more to put Web3 gaming on the map than any other title to date.
The presale itself scores highly for accessibility, accepting direct credit card payments alongside standard crypto assets including ETH, SOL, and USDT. This lowers the barrier to entry significantly, allowing the project to tap into a much wider liquidity pool than a typical crypto token sale. Through committing to launch on major platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, EV2 is betting on a user base that dwarfs the crypto-native crowd.

Web3 Gaming Returns With a Bang
The crypto market is cyclical, and the current cycle favors tangible utility over speculative infrastructure. As we close out the year, there are signs that smart money is betting that 2026 will be the year of Web3 gaming and the best crypto to buy in 2026. With a seasoned team and a token economy that demands active usage, is on a roll right now. The presale wars ain’t over yet, but Funtico’s shooter is now firmly in the lead.
