Coinbase brought in revenues worth $520m in 2018

  • Coinbase’s non-US revenue grew by 20% since last year to $153 million.
  • As per Block Crypto, Coinbase generated 60% less than what they originally projected.

Reuters calculated that crypto giants Coinbase, currently valued at $8 billion, made around $520 in global revenue in 2018. As per their filing to Britain’s corporate registry, Coinbase’s non-U.S. revenue grew 20% from last year to 153 million euros ($173 million). Their U.K. chief executive Zeeshan Feroz stated that the firm’s non-U.S. revenue accounts for almost a third of the firm’s overall revenue. Hence Reuters was able to conclude that Coinbase had revenues worth $520 million in 2018.

As per Block Crypto, this number is almost 60% less than what Coinbase had initially projected. They had initially expected revenues worth $1.3 billion. In 2017, Coinbase generated $923 million in revenue, which is 44% more than their supposed 2018 income.
