Bitcoin spot ETFs in the United States have overtaken gold ETFs in assets under management (AUM), marking a significant shift in investor preference. Despite gold ETFs having a 20-year advantage, Bitcoin ETFs have surged ahead within just a year of their launch in January 2024.
