"Our model1 projects the fix to be 338 pips higher than the previous fix (6.8310 from 6.7972) and 140 pips higher than the previous official spot USD/CNY close of 6.8170. The basket implied change is 183 pips higher than the previous official spot USD/CNY close (6.8353 from 6.8170)."

Analysts at Nomura offered their projection for today's USD/CNY fix.

EUR/USD flirts with daily highs, retargets 1.1900

Gold is reclaiming part of the ground lost on Wednesday’s marked decline, as bargain-hunters keep piling up and lifting prices past the key $5,000 per troy ounce. The precious metal’s move higher is also underpinned by the slight pullback in the US Dollar and declining US Treasury yields across the curve.
