US: Fed Speak in focus – TDS

Analysts at TDS point out that Fed speak will be in focus for today’s US session apart from the first quarter’s current account data release.
Key Quotes
“Fed Vice Chair Fischer and Boston President Rosengren are scheduled to speak at a macroprudential conference in Amsterdam but because the event is closed to the press we are unlikely to get any details. This will leave markets to focus on a 15:00 ET speech by Dallas President Kaplan (2017 voter), who spoke on Friday and stated that he needs to see more evidence of inflation recovering before taking the next steps in policy normalization. The first quarter current account balance is the lone data release and the market expects the deficit to widen to $123.6bn.”
