UK: Jonathan Haskel reappointed to BoE MPC

The UK has announced on Tuesday that Jonathan Haskel got reappointed to the Bank of England's (BoE) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), as reported by Reuters.

Catherine L. Mann also got appointed to the BoE's MPC.

Market reaction

This development doesn't seem to be having a noticeable impact on the British pound's performance against its major rivals. As of writing, the GBP/USD pair was down 0.25% on a daily basis at 1.3895. Meanwhile, the EUR/GBP pair is clinging to modest daily gains at 0.8560.
