Monetary policy in Australia should remain accommodative – IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is of the opinion that the monetary policy in Australia should remain accommodative and added that the disinflation is expected to start reversing.
The fund released its annual report on Australia said the economic growth could moderate somewhat over the next two years and the pace of fiscal consolidation needs to be more gradual.
The IMF assured markets that the country has fiscal space even though the budget targets have been missed.
