Goldman Sachs said to review commodities after worst start in a decade - BBG

According to people with knowledge of the matter, Goldman Sachs Group Inc.is considering to review its commodities business after the unit’s worst start to the year in more-than a decade, Bloomberg reports.
The sources said that the recent poor performance has led senior executives to question whether the downturn is cyclical, as the bank has argued until now, or structural, implying a need to reshape the business.
However, no decision has been reached and the banking giant may not pursue large-scale changes, according to the people, adding that it’s common for the bank to review struggling business units to see what can be improved.
