BoJ buys ETFs for first time in six months

The Bank of Japan (BoJ) bought JPY70.1 billion ($523.37 million) of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Friday, according to the central bank data.
The BoJ stepped into the market for the first time in six months after the Japanese indices fell roughly 2% on Friday.
Market reaction
At the time of writing, USD/JPY is keeping its bearish momentum intact, shedding 1.11% lower to trade at 133.77.
