"Our model1 projects the fix to be 118 pips higher than the previous fix (6.7680 from 6.7562) and 19 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close of 6.7699. The basket implied change is 22 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close (6.7677 from 6.7699)."

The precious metal’s move higher is also underpinned by the slight pullback in the US Dollar and declining US Treasury yields across the curve.
