"Our model1 projects the fix to be 100 pips lower than the previous fix (6.3645 from 6.3745) and 41 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close of 6.3686. The basket implied change is 49 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close (6.3637 from 6.3686)."

The precious metal’s move higher is also underpinned by the slight pullback in the US Dollar and declining US Treasury yields across the curve.
