Analysts at Nomura offered their model's projection for today's fix in USD/CNY.

"Model1 projects the fix to be 275 pips lower than the previous fix (6.3121 from 6.3396) and 194 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close of 6.3315. The basket implied change is 259 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close (6.3056 from 6.3315)."

The precious metal’s move higher is also underpinned by the slight pullback in the US Dollar and declining US Treasury yields across the curve.
