US stock markets hit buying opportunities on the data release

  1. Emini S&P SEPTEMBER made a low for the day exactly at support at 6245/35 & longs worked perfectly on the recovery to 6308. Last session high & low were: 6241 - 6308. (To compare the spread to the contract you trade).

  2. Emini Nasdaq September held support at 22800 as predicted. Last session high & low were: 22835- 23100.

  3. Emini Dow Jones September made a low for the day at my target of 44000/43900 as predicted. Last session high & low for the last session were: 43973 - 44481.

Emini S&P September futures

  • Emini S&P up one day, down the next day in the 9 day sideways trend.

  • Further gains today can target 6330/6333 before a retest of 6340/6343.

  • A break above here can target 6352/55 & 6365/67.

  • Eventually 6377/80 & even 6390 is possible.

  • We should have support again at 6245/35 & longs need stops below 6225.

Nasdaq September futures

  • Emini Nasdaq break higher hit this week's targets of 23150/155 & 23220/230 with a high for the week exactly at this price.

  • However gains could not be sustained and we moved back into range formed in the first 2 weeks of July.

  • I fear we will continue to range trade and could dip to support at 22800....which we did yesterday as expected.

  • I have little doubt that buyers will be jumping in on the dip (and we made a low for the day at 22835 in fact...But if we continue lower today we could target support at 22650/550.

  • Longs need stops below 22450.

  • Of course we are in a bull trend so a break higher is always possible targeting 23300/310.

  • Eventually we can reach as far as 23350/370 & 23410/430 with 23500/510 certainly not out of the question.

Chart

  • Emini Dow Jones dipped to the downside target of 44000/43900, with a low for the day as predicted & this will be support again today.

GBP/USD knocks ten-week highs ahead of holiday slowdown

GBP/USD found room on the high side on Monday, kicking off a holiday-shortened trading week with a fresh spat of Greenback weakness, bolstering the Pound Sterling into its highest bids in ten weeks. Pound traders are largely brushing off the latest interest rate cut from the Bank of England as the UK’s central bank policy strategy leaves the water murky for rate-cut watchers.

Gold buying remains unabated; fresh all-time peak and counting

Gold builds on the previous day's blowout rally through the $4,400 mark and continues scaling new record highs through the Asian session on Tuesday. Bets for more interest rate cuts by the US Fed, renewed US Dollar selling bias, and rising geopolitical uncertainties turn out to be key factors driving flows towards the bullion. Traders now look to the delayed release of the revised US Q3 GDP print and US Durable Goods Orders for a fresh impetus.

Ten questions that matter going into 2026

2026 may be less about a neat “base case” and more about a regime shift—the market can reprice what matters most (growth, inflation, fiscal, geopolitics, concentration). The biggest trap is false comfort: the same trades can look defensive… right up until they become crowded.

XRP steadies above $1.90 support as fund inflows and retail demand rise

Ripple (XRP) is stable above support at $1.90 at the time of writing on Monday, after several attempts to break above the $2.00 hurdle failed to materialize last week. Meanwhile, institutional interest in the cross-border remittance token has remained steady.
