In view of the analysts at TDS, initial jobless claims and Philly Fed manufacturing survey will be the key economic releases for today’s US session.
“Initial jobless claims are expected to bounce back to 240k vs 234k. The Philly Fed manufacturing survey is expected to pull back to a more sustainable level of 25.5 in Apr vs 32.8 in Mar, while TD expects a more modest slip to 29.0 in line with the trend in new orders.”
“CAD: The province of Ontario is expected to unveil a plan to curb housing activity, including a tax on non-resident speculators. An announcement is scheduled at 9am EST.”
