US considering sanctions against China’s human rights violators – Reuters

While recent comments from the US lawmakers weigh on market optimism, Reuters came out with a news report stating the US is considering sanctions against those responsible for human rights violations against Muslims in China’s Xinjiang region as revealed by the US State Department spokesman with “great shame for humanity” statement on Thursday.
The report further added that the U.S. officials have said the Trump administration was considering sanctions targeting companies and officials linked to China’s crackdown, including Xinjiang Party Secretary Chen Quanguo, who, as a member of the powerful politburo, is in the upper echelons of China’s leadership.
