UK PM May spokesman: Attorney General Cox to have detailed discussions in Brussels on backstop changes

British Prime Minister Theresa May's spokesman recently told reporters that Attorney General Cox will have detailed discussions in Brussels on Irish border backstop changes. "Whilst there remains a lot to do on Brexit, we are working at pace," the spokesman added. The GBP/USD pair, which gained traction on the back of upbeat PMI data from the UK earlier in the day, failed to rose above the 1.32 mark and was last seen trading at 1.3166, losing 0.15% on the day and ignoring the spokesman's comments.
