According to analysts at TD Securities, UK’s March inflation showed a largely unchanged picture, with headline inflation unchanged at 1.9% y/y and core inflation unchanged at 1.8% y/y.
“The headline inflation figure matched the BoE's February forecast, but is likely to jump sharply higher next month on utility price increases. On core inflation, it sits comfortably within its recent range, despite some volatile moves in underlying components such as video games.”
