EU's von der Leyen: Very positive will find deal on Airbus-Boeing issue today

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen sounded confident, as she said that they are very positive about reaching a solution on the Airbus-Boeing issue on Tuesday.

EU and Canada discussed the way to global carbon pricing, she added.

It is being reported that the EU and the US are said to extend aircraft tariff suspension by another five years.

Earlier on, Reuters reported that the EU and the US struck a deal to resolve the long-standing Boeing-Airbus tariff dispute.

Market reaction

Despite the optimistic remarks from von der Leyen, EUR/USD is trading around 1.2140, easing off daily highs at 1.2149. The spot is still up 0.19% on the day.
