EU, US reach deal to resolve Boeing-Airbus tariff dispute

Reuters reports that the European Union (EU) and the US reach a deal to resolve the long-dragged Boeing-Airbus tariff dispute.

On Monday, Politico noted that “US Trade Representative Katherine Tai will be in Brussels and London this week for what she expects will be “intense negotiations” to resolve the Boeing-Airbus dispute and find common ground on steel and aluminium production issues.”

Market reaction

The euro receives an additional boost on the above headlines, as EUR/USD tests daily highs at 1.2130. The spot adds 0.08% on the day.
