Nouriel Roubini AKA Dr Doom believe central banks will overtake regular cryptocurrencies with CBDCs

  • Globally known economist Nouriel Roubini, dubbed, Dr Doom, believes central banks are discussing their own digital currencies.
  • Roubini believes the CBDCs will dominate regular cryptocurrencies and help close to door to scammers.

Nouriel Roubini AKA Dr Doom says that the leading economic policymakers are currently looking into whether central banks potentially issuing their own digital currencies, rather than just to licensed commercial banks.

The globally known economist believe that this idea deserves some serious consideration. Roubini believe this will replace an inherently crisis-prone banking system. This can then close the door on scammers within the crypto market.

World’s central bankers already are discussing the idea of digital currencies owed by central banks, known as, CBDCs. The likes of Christine Lagarde, the International Monetary Fund chief, are talking openly about the pros and cons of the ide, according to Roubini.
