Binance’s Trust Wallet expands further with support of Tezos (XTZ)

  • Tezos will now be supported by Binance’s Trust Wallet, going for greater reach with this move.
  • A similar step was taken last month with Coinbase announcing their support of XTZ.

Binance announced within an official company notification to its community, that their official cryptocurrency wallet Trust Wallet is continuing to expand its reach of support, adding Tezos (XTZ).

They also noted that behind scenes they are working on a staking feature for Proof-of-Stake-based cryptocurrencies , this is expected “set to launch by the end of the second quarter.” Worth noting, a similar move last month was done by Coinbase. It did announce Tezos for its Coinbase Custody clients.

The new feature introduction from Trust Wallet will allow regular holders of Tezos to store their tokens while having the opportunity to participate actively in the network’s governance.

Founder of Trust Wallet, Viktor Radchenko, said:

Tezos is a leading on-chain governance and PoS protocol and we are excited to work together to bring staking and delegating mechanisms to Trust Wallet mobile users, which allows everyone to be a participant in securing the network and validating transactions.
