Wall Street starts the day slightly lower

Major equity indexes in the U.S. started the last day of the week in a calm manner as investors are getting ready to enjoy their Christmas holiday.
In today's choppy session, the S&P 500 Financials Sector (SPSY) is up 0.1% while the S&P 500 Information Technology Sector (SPLRCT) is down 0.1%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 Energy Sector (SPNY), yesterday's biggest gainer, is now up 0.15% as the WTI remains on track to close the week above the $58 handle.
As of writing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down only 4 points, or 0.01%, at 24,778.71, the S&P 500 was up 0.75 points, or 0.03%, at 2,688.25 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 8.21 points, or 0.12%, at 6,957.15.
