US: Annual core-CPI declines to 2.2% in August vs 2.4% expected

"The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.2 percent in August on a seasonally adjusted basis, the same increase as in July," the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Thursday.
