UK: Focus on BoE speak and construction PMI – TDS

Analysts at TD Securities point out that the Bank of England's Carney, Broadbent, Cunliffe, and Woods all appear before the Treasury Select Committee to discuss last week's FSR, stress tests, and Brexit scenarios at 9:15am GMT and will be a key event for today.

“Expect focus to be on the latter. The European Court of Justice publishes its opinion on last week's hearing about whether or not A50 is unilaterally revocable. This is not the final judgement, but rather one of the senior judge's views on the issue. The final judgement is likely to come down after the 11 December "meaningful vote". On that front, the first of five days of debate begins today in the House of Commons.”
“The construction PMI for November is also released, and we expect a small gain to 53.5. Finally, MPC member Vlieghe speaks at 6pm GMT.”
