EU's Juncker: If UK requested extension to Brexit talks, nobody in Europe would oppose it

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker recently crossed the wires saying that the EU wouldn't oppose an extension to Brexit if the UK were to request it. Juncker further added he had no time frame in mind for the length of a possible extension.

EUR/USD trims gains, back below 1.1800

Gold keeps the bid tone well in place at the end of the week, now hitting fresh weekly highs and retargeting the key $5,100 mark per troy ounce. The move higher in the yellow metal comes in response to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and modest losses in the US Dollar.
