ECB's Villeroy: There is no risk of overheating economy

European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member François Villeroy de Galhau said on Monday that there is no risk of overheating the economy, as reported by Reuters.
Financing conditions in the euro area remain very accommodative, Villeroy added and noted that they remain watchful although there is no risk of a lasting pick up of inflation.
Market reaction
These comments don't seem to be having a significant impact on the shared currency's performance against its rivals. As of writing, the EUR/USD pair was up 0.4% on the day at 1.2165.
