Coronavirus update: Germany reports 933 new cases to 172,239, adds 89 to death toll

As per the latest figures from the German disease and epidemic control center, Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 172,239, with a total of 7,723 deaths reported.

Market reaction

Following the news, market's risk-off tone gained additional strength, which in turn offered fresh bids to the US dollar. While portraying the same, EUR/USD extends the previous day’s losses to 1.0807, fresh two-day low. Traders are now waiting for the German Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices for fresh impulse.
