Bundesbank's Weidmann: No need to postpone policy normalization if outlook allows for it

Bundesbank President and ECB governing council member - Jens Weidmann, during a scheduled speech at the German Savings Banks Association in Hamburg, said that domestic inflation remains stubbornly low and there is no need to postpone policy normalization if outlook allows for it.
Weidmann further added that the US auto tariffs would hit German carmakers hard and that the US-China trade escalation risks poison for the US GDP.
