BoE's Mark Carney: "Should I stay or should I go now?"

Uncertainty around Brexit and the UK economy intensifies with the conflicting reports regarding Bank of England's Govenor, Mark Carney's, future at the Central Bank.
There were recent reports that Carney could step down as soon as this week, although it was recently reported that the in fact stands ready to serve an 8-year term at Bank of England. The Financial Times (FT) reported this weekend that, "Mr Carney has told friends that he is likely to make a statement on his future this week to put an end to damaging speculation."
It is also expected that the governor will confer with Prime Minister Theresa May and chancellor Philip Hammond before making a final “personal” decision, "potentially ahead of the publication of the BoE's inflation report on Thursday," explained the FT in the article.
