USD still in Demand & BTC Woes – The dollar is firmer after China rebutted yesterday’s Bloomberg story alleging that it was pondering a reduction on U.S. Treasury purchases. South Korea plans to ban cryptocurrency trading, according to the justice minister who said the government is preparing a bill to ban trading of the virtual currency on domestic exchanges, sending local bitcoin prices down and weighing on cryptocurrency related shares.
