En el contexto del resurgimiento de los rendimientos de los bonos del Tesoro de EE.UU., el dólar recibió un impulso adicional tras la publicación de un índice manufacturero de Empire State mejor de lo esperado y una revisión al alza de las cifras de ventas minoristas de marzo, lo que compensó los datos ligeramente más débiles de abril.
El impulso alcista se aceleró aún más después de que el ministro de Economía de México, Ildefonso Guajardo, señaló que no ve un acuerdo con NAFTA antes del 17 de mayo, lo que provocó algunas ventas agresivas en torno al dólar canadiense.

Por otro lado, el par ahora parece encontrar soporte inmediato cerca de 1.2850, que si es quebrado podría generar nuevas ventas y volver a arrastrarlo hacia una nueva prueba de 1.2800.
