US Govt officially shuts down as Congress misses the deadline for funding vote

More headlines are crossing the wires, confirming the US Govt shutdown, courtesy CNBC:
The US Congress officially misses the 00.00 (EST) deadline to avert a shutdown and have the funding vote.
Likely to be a temporary shutdown as hearing that the Senate, House plans to vote within next few hours.
Previously also heard, plans were for a house vote between 0300-0600 GMT.
Some government agencies will run out of money and workers will get furloughed.
The US government tells employees to refer to the home agency for guidance on reporting for duty.
