US Commerce Sec. Ross on trade talks with the EU: President’s patience is not unlimited

Responding to EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom earlier remarks about the U.S. not showing any big interest to resolve the trade conflict with the EU, “We really need tangible progress. The president’s patience is not unlimited,” U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross told reporters in Brussels on Wednesday and added: “This is not meant to be a five-year project. This is meant to be something that was to move quickly and in a cooperative fashion,” as reported by the Washington Post.
Following her meeting with Ross on Tuesday, Malmstom described the United States' approach to trade negotiations as a "scoping exercise on a limited agreement focused on industrial goods on tariffs."
