A spokesman for British Prime Minister Theresa May recently crossed the wires reiterating that their objective was to have an independent trade policy post-Brexit and added that this goal was not compatible with staying in a customs union with the European Union. "It is wrong to suggest the PM is approaching talks with lawmakers on the Brexit deal with a closed mind," the spokesman further stated.

EUR/USD looks weak below 1.1800

The yellow metal surrenders part of its earlier gains on the back of the resurgence of the buying interest in the Greenback.
