UK government official: No changes expected in Brexit talks with EU in next 48 hours

"At the moment there is nothing to suggest that anything is going to change in talks with the EU in the next 48 hours," a British government source told Reuters. Although it's difficult to pinpoint the market's reaction to this headline, it's clear that the British pound is staying under a modest pressure on Thursday amid the uncertainty surrounding Brexit talks. Earlier today, citing EU sources, Reuters reported that the EU was sceptical that a Brexit deal could be sealed before the March 21-22 summit. At the moment, the GBP/USD pair is down 0.23% on the day at 1.3138.

EUR/USD meets initial support around 1.1800
