Japan’s Motegi: Will meet with USTR Lighthizer on Saturday for trade talks

Japanese Economy Minister Motegi is on the wires now, via Reuters, stating that he will meet the US Trade Representative Lighthizer on Saturday to discuss trade.

Separately, the latest report published by the Japanese Cabinet Office showed that the government downgraded the economic assessment for May. This is the second downgrade so far this year.
