Italian minister sees new election likely in February - RTRS

Reuters has cited a minister in Prime Minister Matteo Renzi's outgoing government saying that Italy could have election as early as in February.
According to the report, Italian Interior Minister Angelino Alfano, a day after Prime Minister Matteo Renzi announced that he would step down after his heavy defeat in a referendum on constitutional reforms, stated, "I forecast there will be the will to go to elections in February,"
Angelino Alfano is the head of a small centre-right party that is a crucial part of Renzi's ruling coalition, told Corriere della Sera daily on Tuesday after talking to Renzi.
Immediately after the comments, the EUR/USD pair ran through fresh offers and dropped to a fresh session low to reverse part of yesterday’s strong recovery gains.
