German CPI rises 0.2% in October, up 0.8% YoY

German consumer price index is expected to rise 0.2% in October 2016 and 0.8% on annual basis, said Statistiches Bundesamt Deutschland. Market expectations were also for 0.1% MoM and 0.8% YoY.
Based on the results available so far, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the consumer prices rose 0.1% in September and 0.7% YoY.
The harmonised index of consumer prices for Germany calculated for European purposes is expected to be up 0.7% year on year, versus 0.6% expected. Compared with September 2016, it is expected to be up by 0.2% (0.1% exp).
The final results for October 2016 will be released on 11 November 2016.
