French Pres. Macron: An extension should not be granted if Brexit is not approved by UK

French President Emanuel Macron on Friday said that he wants the Brexit deadline of October 31st to hold and reiterated that an extension should not be granted if the UK parliament does not approve the Brexit deal on Saturday.
"Boris Johnson is sometimes pittoresque, but he has shown strategic thinking in Brexit negotiations," Macron added, per Reuters.
The GBP/USD pair seems to have inched lower on these comments. As of writing, the pair was down 0.09% on the day at 1.2874.
