EU’s Juncker: Will introduce counterbalancing measures immediately

It didn't take long for European officials to respond to the US Commerce Secretary Ross, who in a press conference said that European Union, Canada, and Mexico would face steel (25%) and aluminum (10%) tariffs beginning at midnight tonight.
The EU Parliament Centre Right Chief Weber stated that the EU now had no choice but to defend these industries, jobs, and their interests. Furthermore, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that they would immediately introduce counterbalancing measures and would announce them in the next couple of hours.
The latest comments came from Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner for trade, who said that the EU would not trigger a dispute settlement case at the WTO.
