ECB's Enria: ECB to make decision on bank dividend payments in late July

The European Central Bank is expected to make a decision on whether to lift a restriction on bank dividend payments and share buybacks on July 23, European Central Bank (ECB) top supervisor Andrea Enria said on Tuesday, per Reuters.

"We have tabled a decision at our board on the 23rd of July and we will communicate shortly after that," Enria noted while responding to questions in an online interview.

Market reaction

These comments don't seem to be having a significant impact on the shared currency's performance against its rivals. As of writing, the EUR/USD pair was up 0.05% on the day at 1.2125.
