DUP's Wilson: Backstop has to be removed with commitment to no hard border

Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) MP and Brexit spokesman - Sammy Wilson was out with some comments in the last hour, saying that backstop and withdrawal agreement, as it stands now, are not acceptable.

Wilson was further noted saying that DUP has had private discussions with Theresa May on the matter and backstop has to be removed with a commitment to no hard border.

The news prompted some GBP weakness, dragging the GBP/USD pair back below mid-1.3100s towards the lower end of its daily trading range ahead of the parliamentary vote on the alternative Brexit plan.
