Following yesterday's crystallisation of the impasse within Parliament, PM May has made a statement and has said the government stands ready to abide by the decision of the house but says to make this process work, the opposition needs to agree too.

Looking for an extension until a deal is passed.
Would try and complete legislating by May 22.
