A couple of Wall Street's former top investment executives are back into the crypto game, with plans to open a new crypto advisory firm, Bloomberg reported on Monday.
Following his exit from crypto liquidity firm GSR in 2023, former portfolio manager at Millennium Management Benoit Bosc and ex-Pimco Executive Vice President Michael Bressler are opening x2B, a crypto consultancy firm.
Dogecoin extends gains as traders assess Elon Musk’s role in upcoming Trump administration
Dogecoin (DOGE) extends its gains on Monday and trades around $0.28 after rallying over 83% in the previous week, buoyed by the victory of crypto-friendly candidate Donald Trump in the US presidential election and its promotion by Trump supporter Elon Musk.
Elon Musk’s continued support for Dogecoin has reignited interest in the dog-themed meme coin. DOGE’s open interest reached a new all-time high of $2.26 billion on Monday, signaling a surge of new capital, while its daily trading volume also hit a yearly high of $13.96 billion.
Altcoins acceleration amid Bitcoin’s new heights
The crypto market capitalisation has reached $2.75 trillion, approaching the peak of $2.77 trillion reached in March this year. The next target for the crypto bulls looks to be the historical highs at $2.86 trillion and possibly even the next round level of $3.0 trillion.
